NEW ARIZONA DUI LAWS - as of 9/19/2007Frequently Asked Questions:
The penalties for DUI convictions have increased since the New DUI Law came into effect. These penalties are some of the toughest in the country. Please see DUI Penalties page for more information.
Any DUI/DWI conviction, even if B.A.C. is under .15, will carry a mandatory punishment of an Ignition Interlock for a minimum of one year.
A citation that was written on 9/18/2007 or before will NOT fall under the New AZ DUI Laws.
A "Super Extreme" is a DUI with a B.A.C. over .200. The mandatory punishment of the "Super Extreme" is 45 consecutive days in jail. Please see "Super Extreme" Penalties for more information.
